So recently I walked into the kitchen and Chequote was standing right next to the Cat eating. How cute.

Back in 2008 Omaha's Mayor Mike Fahey was leaning towards a complete ban on Pits and other bully breeds. He didn't get that though. What he got was much more harsh towards pit bull owners. A $10000000 insurance policy, muzzles, a no tethering law and lots of people in Omaha pissed at him. That wasn't all that passed though. Today many other cities in Nebraska are looking to pass the same laws or a complete ban. Although I highly doubt these bans are going to make a difference because it is not just pits. Now that everyones pits are on lock down the media is going to be looking for something fresh. Next its going to be german shepards, dobermans or even all dogs. And are they going to seriously try and ban all dogs? Every dog on earth has a tempermental side. It has nothing to do with the dog. The dog is just the punished factor. The problem is the owner. The owner is the irresponsible one. However they raised that dog has to do with its tempermentalness. Punish the deed!!!

Pretzel

So here is that picture of Andrew. He passed out on the couch. He has cinnamon next to him and Chequote between his legs. Can you say pretzel? Ouch, I wonder how he is going to feel when he gets up :)

CHEQUOTE AND ME

So here is me and Chequote. Andrew took this on my moms phone while I was sleeping. But atleast it is just me and Chequote. I got one of him you'll see later, Promise. Yes, my dog sleeps with me and this is why I stress taking a shower in the morning before school rather than the night before. Chequote is a sweetheart and my room does get cold so he's not a bad thing to have around either.

Cinnamon AND Saphire

This is our kitten Saphire and Cinnamon. When Saphire first came home she was not fully weened. Well she was but wasn't. She couldn't exactly get weened with her mom around so we brought her home. Cinnamon and Saphire sleep together, eat together, play together, and cause ruckus together too. Here they just woke up and were laying together on moms bed. Now next time you say pitbulls are mean think about the pitbulls who sleep with kittens. I LOVE MY PITS!!!

A Pitbull Prayer

A Pit Bull Prayer

Spirit in the sky, who watches over all animals. It is my prayer and my request that you grant greater understanding and acceptance to humans; those who love us and those who hate us.

That they will know how loyal we are, how brave we are, and how loving we are. Help them to accept us as a breed in whole, and not let the few tragedies shine brighter than the great traits we have.

And those who would kill me, let them know, I forgive them even though I don't understand their hatred. And those who would beat me, let them know I still love them, even though it is not the honorable way.

Thank you for all the strong traits that you have given me and my breed. Help those to know that i stand for courage, loyalty, and bravery.

And as my master already knows, let those who would come against my family know that I would surely die defending them.

And just one more thing that I would ask: Let my master know, that if you should call me away, that I will wait patiently at those pearly gates until the one who chose me comes home

Punish the Deed not the Breed

Punishing an animal because they were forced to fight? THATS OUTRAGEOUS!!! How could a person be so cruel to force an animal to fight but then to let the animal get punished for it? Did you know a pitbull is considered a Stafordshire Bull Terrier? But if its listed at the humane society as a Pitbull there is all this paperwork and fees and just accumulating papers that need to be signed and insurance is constantly cheched. But when it is listed as a Stafordshire Bull Terrier they could care less? Why is it that people have a different reaction towards the same dog just under different names? The media I honestly believe the media has a big deal in it. They only broadcast the pitbull attacks, as if other breeds of dogs don't attack, and they only use the name Pitbull, not Stafordshire Bull Terrier!!! So people portray Pitbulls to be vicious, jaw locking, killer animals when really they are just a misunderstood because of the media. Pitbulls were originally breed in Germany for fighting in wars. So that was their heritage then. This is NOW. TODAY!! Not the past, we have grown to naturally hate something and just something because of it originality. So really why does the dog get punished for the owners wrong doings?

Chequote Again :) Look at his eyes if you can see!!! Yes you are very correct he is winking ;) Strange dog huh? He has winked since he was a puppy. Does it most the time when he gets his way though. Is this his way of saying I love you or is it simply something he does? In this photo he is on my bed and his left eye is closed and right eye open. If this is just his way of saying I love you, We love you too Chequote. But if its just naturally something he does, we still love you Chequote. So what do you think it means?

This is Capone. Chequotes papa :) Capone is a sweetheart. Capone was used for fighting before we got him. Sad really. Capone does not play with the rat he would rather eat him. He doesnt play with the cats either, but he does put up with and tolerate our cats. He tends to go after neighborhood cats and loves to chase the backyard coons. Capone is a 4 yr. old male gatormouth pitbull. He loves watching television, playing tug a war, and trying to carry sticks that are bigger than him. He likes running and loves playing balls and popbottles, (although we do not give him either because he swallows them whole). He can not stay in a room where it is dark and has no television or radio, he tends to do more than tear the room up. If you try to get him in a kennel, Wish you good luck he hates them. Capone is kept from the other dogs because he is tempemental since he is so old he doesnt like their hyperness.

This is Cinnamon. Our female Pitbull. Rescued from breeding fighter dogs. Cinnamon is very nurturing as she has probably had many litters before we got her. Cinnamon loves playing with the rats and cats, Chasing balls, playing tug a war with the tree, and sleeping infront of the heater vent. Cinnamon is actually my moms dog. Mom hated her when we first got her but I don't think mom can part with her now. She sleeps with mom too! She is such a blanket hog from what I have been told but I do not sleep with her. I am thankful for that because she tends to have bad gas!

So, did you know that a Dalmation is rated the most dangerous dog says the American Kennel Club? In my opinion it is not the breed of the dog rather i beleive it to be how the owner raises the dogs. Yes, breeds can have traits of tempermentalness but saying all dogs of one breed are dangerous. GET OUTTA HERE!!! THATS JUST STAREOTYPE MAN!!!! That is just like saying White People are predjudice, Or mexicans will rob you, Or African Americans have snotty attitudes, Or all Iraqis are going to blow up your plane. But thats not true. So, dogs are living. Why classify them like that? Also Pit bull is not a breed but a classification of over twenty dog breeds. Statistics prove that for a child a pit bull is the best pet for a child or as a family dog. This is Chequote. Cute, eh? Chequote is a Gatormouth Red Nose Pitbull. He loves playing with ropes, Stuffed animals, and outside. He plays Hide and Seek with the rat too. The only survivor of a litter of 11. WOW!!! Chequote is just the cutest, most cuddlable, and playful pet in the world. So... These Pitbulls laws passed... I CAN'T EVEN WALK HIM ANYMORE!!! Crazy. And I have to be 19 JUST TO OWN HIM!!!! Plus the life insurance? ITS JUST OUTRAGEOUS!!! What are they going to do next? I really dont want to know!
